Invest austria is the leading event to connect Angel Investors, Venture Capital and Private Equity, covering the entire funding lifecycle of innovative companies. The 26th Annual Forum for Law and Tax (RuSt 2022) organised by Business Circle has been held in Rust on 13 and 14 October 2022. Our Managing Partner Dr. Clemens Hasenauer, LL.M./MBA, is in charge of the programme of RuSt.

To kick off our new CERHA HEMPEL global perspectives series, the event "Wie geht Gegenwart für eine ungewisse Zukunft?" took place on September 13 in our Bel Etage. The lecture has bee held by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Markus Hengstschläger.

Nikolay Yanev (thyssenkrupp) and CERHA HEMPEL partners Bernhard Kofler-Senoner and Armin Schwabl as well as CERHA HEMPEL associates Agnes Lackenberger and Benno Siftar guided through the changes of the newly revised Vertical Block Exemption Regulation (VBER) and updated on the latest developments in regard to the Austrian implementation of the Whistleblower Directive (the current draft of the HinweisgeberInneschutzgesetz).

Our partner Anna Wolf-Posch moderated the Roundtable „European enforcers“ at the ABA 2022 International Cartel Workshop in Lisbon, 27-29 June, interviewing Cani Fernández, President, National Markets and Competition Commission, Madrid; Natalie Harsdorf-Borsch, Deputy Managing Director, Austrian Federal Competition Authority, Vienna and Margarida Matos Rosa, President, Portuguese Competition Authority, Lisbon.

CERHA HEMPEL Partner Dr. Hans Kristoferitsch will moderate the panel on Energy Subsidies at the Austrian State Aid Law Day 2022.
